XtraSafe Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of XtraSafe Photo Vault for iPhone. By using the app you agree to them.

What XtraSafe is

XtraSafe Photo Vault is a privacy utility that helps you find private photos and videos in your own library and protect them in an encrypted vault on your device. You may only use the app with media you own or have the right to store.

Your responsibilities

• Keep your credentials safe. Your vault is protected by your PIN, Face ID, and recovery phrase. Without your PIN, Face ID, or recovery phrase, your vault cannot be recovered. We cannot reset or restore access for you.
• Back up responsibly. Encrypted backups can only be opened with the passphrase you set. Losing the passphrase means losing the backup's contents.
• Understand the protection levels. Vaulted items are encrypted. Disguise is glance privacy, not encryption: disguised items remain in your Photos library, may sync with iCloud, and can be restored by anyone with access to your unlocked phone.
• Lawful use only. You must not use XtraSafe to store or conceal unlawful content.

Purchases and subscriptions

• XtraSafe Pro is available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription (with a free trial where offered), or a one-time lifetime purchase.
• Payment is handled through your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.
• Free trials convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• Core features remain free: manual scans, the encrypted vault (within free limits), recovery phrase, backup restore, export to Photos, and delete controls. You are never required to pay to access, export, or delete your own vaulted items.

No warranty

XtraSafe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. On-device detection is assistive and may miss items or flag items that are not private; you remain responsible for reviewing and protecting your own media. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss, including loss caused by forgotten PINs, lost recovery phrases, lost backup passphrases, or deletion of originals.

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
